| GOLD brings home the hardware by taking second in the Milkcan Classic!!! |

 What a way to end the All-Star experience!!! The girls EARNED a nice 2nd place trophy Sunday afternoon in the FINALS of the Milkcan Classic. Although they lost a close game to Chino again, the girls proved they can play with anybody and went down fighting. GREAT JOB LADIES!!!
Our girls again led 1 - 0 going into the late innings but allowed one unearned run and the go-ahead on a clean hit by the Chino hitter in the bottom of the 4th. Our girls battled back in the 5th but some base running errors came back to bite us. Chino added an insurance run in the 5th and the Chino pitcher shut us down in the 6th and 7th innings to secure the Chino W.
Our offense was led by Halle and Cheyen with our only hits in the game. Chey, Ciera, Halle, & Tawney had walks in the game. Shelby reached on a fielder's choice.
It was a great way to end the all-stars; the girls (and parents) all seemed very happy with their 2nd place trophies and with the opportunity to have played for the chance at a championship. All the hard work and MANY practices paid off!!!
Thanks to all the coaches for your time and dedication to the team. All your efforts led to the success we believed the girls could have when they played together as a team.

Our girls came to battle Sunday morning & took it to the highly rated W Covina team. The bats stayed hot and the girls jumped out to a 3 - 0 lead and never looked back. There were several huge plays in the game but a costly base running error on Covina's part proved to be the difference as our girls went on to win 3 -2.
Sam pitched another awesome game and only allowed one earned run. She struck out 2 and only allowed 6 hits in the game.
Offensively, Cheyen, Shelby and Smalls had our only hits. Sam reached base on an error. Abbey had two walks; Ciera & Halle both had walks.

The girls let their bats do the talking by beating Chino Hills 8 -1 Friday evening. The win was especially enjoyable after several of our parents overheard a coach from Chino Hills tell one of his players (as they were walking on the field) "I guess we'll be playing West Covina tomorrow" - Instead, I'm sure he sulked Sunday afternoon with the lovely Chino cows as we were collecting OUR hardware.
The bats were clicking and the pitching & defense was outstanding. The only Chino Hills run was unearned.
On offense, several players had one hit but Ciera led the way with a 2 Run Home Run that was mashed to the fences. Val, Sam, Halle & Abbey all had singles. Cheyen, Val, Shelby & Abbey had walks in the game. Sam & Hailey also reached base on an error.

The bats were sizzlin on a hot 4th of July afternoon. Sam, Hailey, Shelby, Abbey & Smalls each had two hits on the day. Val, Ciera, Halle & Tawney all had one hit each. Cheyen had our lone walk in the game while Sam, Hailey Abbey & Nik all reached base on La Habra errors.
Sam pitched awesome while aallowing just one run and striking out 9 out of 15 La Habra batters!
